Strasse è una compagnia fondata a Milano nel 2009 da F. De Isabella e Sara Leghissa. Lavora sul linguaggio performativo legato all’espressione del corpo in relazione al paesaggio urbano, e sul linguaggio cinematografico come filtro di osservazione della realtà. Strasse nasce dal desiderio di spostare il linguaggio teatrale e quello cinematografico negli spazi della città, attingendo e lasciandosi influenzare dai suoi ambienti, dalle temperature e dai segni, senza riqualificare o sconvolgere questi luoghi nel loro significato, ma sottraendoli al flusso del quotidiano e trasportandoli, per un momento, altrove.
Dopo aver gestito, con Elena Cleonice Fecit, Casa Strasse, luogo di ricerca e produzione e spazio per la condivisione di pratiche artistiche e workshop, dal 2010 Strasse si trasferisce definitivamente nello spazio pubblico.
La ricerca artistica di Strasse si fonda soprattutto nella pratica della creazione site-specific e genera la possibilità nello spettatore di trasformare il suo punto di vista, permettendogli di vedere con un'attenzione diversa ciò che già esiste, al fine di creare cornici sulla scena e sulle cose.
Il gruppo ha prodotto Drive_in (2011), Solo (2014), HM/ House Music (2016), The end- Trilogia della fine (2017) e progetti come Exil e T.Rex, che utilizzano il formato della festa per generare connessioni, abbattere le categorie ed eliminare la distinzione tra pubblici diversi e tra artist_ e pubblico.
Strasse è stat_ artist_ associat_ di Triennale Teatro dell'Arte di Milano dal 2017 al 2020.
Nel novembre 2020 Strasse comunica pubblicamente la fine della sua attività.
F. De Isabella e Sara Leghissa continuano a lavorare come artist_ indipendent_ su progetti individuali e collaborazioni nel contesto delle arti performative.

Strasse is a group of Italian artists founded in Milan, Italy, in 2009 by F. De Isabella and Sara Leghissa.
Strasse works within the frames of performance and cinema, investigating relationships between movement and urban landscape, using film language as a filter to understand and weight reality. Strasse aims of bringing performance into channels and spaces of the urban life, gaining backgrounds, signs, temperatures, without subverting their meanings but stealing them form the unflappable daily flowing and carrying them, for a moment, elsewhere.
Having run in 2009 the Casa Strasse space in Milan with Elena Cleonice Fecit, a place that hosted theatre and dance workshops and productions, since 2010 the group has been without headquarters and devotes itself to actions in public spaces.
Strasse’s artistic research is mainly based on the practice of site-specific creation. It gives the audience the possibility to change their point of view, allowing them to see what already exists, in order to create new frames surrounding scenes and things.
In the last years the group produced Drive_in (2011), Solo (2014), HM/ House Music (2016), The end- A trilogy on ending (2017) and other projects as Exil and T.Rex, which use the format of the party to generate connections, to knock down categories and remove the distinction between different audiences and between artists and audience.
Strasse has been associated artist to the Triennale Teatro dell'Arte of Milano from 2017 to 2020.
In November 2020 Strasse publicly announces the end of its activity.
F. De Isabella and Sara Leghissa continue to work as independent artists on individual projects and collaborations in the performing arts context.
